Rental guarantor

Refused an apartment —
for a guarantor you don’t have.

Often it isn’t about whether you can pay. It’s that you have no local guarantor to co-sign. Movely can stand as your guarantor to the landlord, so a missing local name stops being the reason you lose the home.

Who this is for

You can afford it.
You just have no one local to vouch for you.

You work remotely for a company registered abroad.

You’re self-employed and don’t have a long local track record yet.

You’ve just received your residence permit.

Your income sits in another country.

It’s your first rental in a country you’ve just moved to.

How it works

Four steps.

1

You fill in a short application and send your documents.

2

We assess your ability to pay — from income and savings, not credit history.

3

We sign a guarantee with the landlord, and you pay a one-time commission.

4

The landlord gets a guarantee, and you get the apartment.

Honest terms

What most people don’t tell you up front.

The commission is one-time and non-refundable, paid at signing.

The guarantee covers unpaid rent only, up to an agreed limit.

It doesn’t erase your debt: if we cover a payment, you still owe that amount to us.

We don’t take on everyone — there is a review.

Tell us about your situation.

The commission depends on your profile — usually 5–12% of the annual rent. The exact amount is confirmed after assessment.

We review every application individually and reply by email.

Application received

We’ll review your details and reply by email, usually within a few working days, with whether we can act as your guarantor and on what terms.

This service is at launch stage. An application is not an offer, and submitting it doesn’t create any obligation on either side. We confirm conditions for a specific address after your application.

Renting to someone who’d need a guarantor?

If a tenant is a good fit but lacks a local guarantor, Movely can step in and back the lease against unpaid rent, within an agreed limit. Tell us about the property and we’ll come back with how it would work.

We confirm conditions for a specific address after your application. Send yours and we’ll tell you whether and how we can help for where you’re renting.
